When I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation and told I had to have brain surgery I was scared and uninformed. I searched high and low for someone online who had been down this road and would be able to impart wisdom to me. Turns out there was almost no one who documented their post-surgery experience. I started with a blog which I try my best to keep up. I decided to make simple comics to demonstrate to those who do not have Chiari or another hidden illness how I perceive many conversations that I have had about this condition, why I have it, and what can be done about it.
